RYAN NT RETROFIT DOUBLE DISCS IN ACTION
Retrofit Double Discs from THE No-Till FARM MACHINERY Leaders - RYAN NT (FORMERLY RFM NT)
If you’re considering upgrading your tine machine, the Ryan NT (formerly RFM NT) Retrofit Double Discs are the perfect double disc seeder conversion option. Around the world, these agricultural discs are proving to be a preferred alternative to buying a new machine. The changing practices of cultivation and no-till farm equipment, heavier bars, interrow sowing and reduced livestock trampling the ground, has meant conditions for the usage of discs in cropping programs is preferred these days.
The double disc system can convert most crop planting machines manufactured in the last 30 years into a disc seeder. The disc coulters, of this low-cost farming system make light work of stubble and trash conditions in all soil types. It allows farmers to plant early in dry conditions without making a mess or blocking up in the wet.
Most importantly, this system allows you to retain more moisture when seeding than a standard tyne point system. Furthermore, with the disc system, farmers are planting their crop in the ground 30 per cent faster than average, which in turn means they are using 30 per cent less fuel.
Superior penetration and cutting
Standard agricultural double disc systems commonly have the disc coulter side by side, which can be prone to act as a wedge, making it harder for penetration.
Ryan NT (formerly RFM NT)’s unique double disc opener system features unique offset disc coulters, which allow extra penetration and easier cutting, compared to the standard wedged designs. The lead disc is the driving disc on the ground and is an inch forward from the plain coulter disc. This allows for greater penetration and cutting and no hairpinning.
The plain and serrated coulters of this machinery retrofit work together to give you good tilth and enough soil through for chemical incorporation. It also features a unique front seeding boot design which avoids blocking and gives perfect seed or fertiliser placement by placing it directly at the bottom of the trench. In addition to this, the unique spring-loaded scrapers can help alleviate blocking. Another notable feature is that the system can double chute.
QUICK CHANGE SYSTEM
This multipurpose system can turn any conventional tyne planter into a highly versatile disc planter, making it a handy piece of farming equipment. Farmers can quickly change over their crop planting machine to the disc system and easily convert it back, should the conditions require it. The design of this retrofit machinery disc system easily fits to existing tine trip assemblies.
Farmers can remove their current shank from the tine trip assembly and replace it with our matching shank. For most setups to switch over, it only requires undoing a couple of bolts or a pin.
In conclusion, with the Ryan NT (formerly RFM NT) Double Discs, you do not have to purchase an expensive new disc seeder. Instead, you can easily convert your existing planting tyne trip for dual purpose. Additionally, when using the double discs with the Ryan NT Press Wheels you will see another increase in results.
Ryan NT has a long history of designing discs for farming and other no-till farm equipment. The idea for the double discs came from the Ryan family in around 1983, which means they have refined it for nearly 40 years. Across Australia and the globe, the double discs are proven; notably, programs in eastern Europe have successfully integrated them.
